So this is a new thing that I think I'm going to start...
I have found that Monday's are usually uneventful for me. Every time I have sat down and tried to write an inspiring and exciting post on a Monday has been a complete failure.
Henceforth, Music Monday was reinvented. It's not always going to be "Music Monday", but this is just the beginning.
Let's begin.
It Was Always You - Maroon 5
East of Eden - Zella Day
Swimming - Florence and The Machine
Of the Night - Bastille
Hey Now - London Grammar
Enjoy these fine selections of music. I really hope you like these new things I am trying to do. Change is GOOD.
Conclusion: I am always looking for new ideas, which is awesome.
Friday
Friday means one thing in small town America: high school football. It also means another thing in my town; the heartbreak of yet another loss. But the bonfires afterwords are really what's the best about Friday nights in the fall. So bonfire, part one of the night.
Part two of the night was going to an abandoned house that is around the town. Ran into some people that we didn't know, but ended up all going into said house together. Besides the random handprint on the wall, it was just abandoned.
Saturday
Saturdays also mean football, but just of the college sorts. I slept in until 11 and then cleaned the house. Around late afternoon, I met up with some friends who went horseback riding and four-wheeling. Along this short journey, I lost my phone. On a gravel road. In the weeds. Never to be seen again. I bucked up the courage to call my mom, who ended up finding it with location services. Would not have found it if it was not for my mother.
Spent the rest of the night watching scary movies.
Sunday
All I have to say, senior picture outfits. Shopping all day. It was extremely fun and quite tiring. But that is the ideal Sunday, not necessarily lazy, but not busy to the max.
Conclusions: Friends are rad and my mom really is a problem solver.
I am a terrible person, I know. It's been almost a week since I have posted. To be honest, I have been busy, but also extremely tired. I've been going to bed before 11 (that's early) and not waking up until the last minute (8:30).
To update you guys, Tuesday was rainy, Wednesday was so uneventful I can't even remember what I did, Thursday went to an invite and got 12th place out of 30 some people. The weekend was eventful so I will blog that here shortly.
Life is busy. Busy busy busy. Especially as a senior. There are applications, scholarships, homework and things like graduation. I never imagined that there would be so much that would go with being a senior.
Okay the best post is coming here shortly. Give me about an hour and a half and prepare to be amazed. Something different? Definitely.
No conclusion because I'm terrible and missed 4 days of blogging.
Obviously there was no school today, as it was labor day. So what happened? Well, my friend was like "Let's make sweatshirts!" So we bought sweatshirts from WalMart and fabric from the craft store and got to work. They turned out pretty amazing, if I do say so myself.
Also, Keeping Up With the Kardashians season finale was tonight, which I wasn't aware of. That made my night. Monday nights are the best night for TV because Teen Wolf is on. I love Teen Wolf. So much.
It the little things in life, such as finding out that my favorite show is on. I'm really mellowed out right now, because I should be in bed, but I'm not. It's just one of those things that reflection on the day does to you. You remember the good and the bad, but I have been trying really hard to make sure to remember the good. I don't push away the bad, I just decide to not give it the time of day anymore.
I've really enjoyed my time of reflection on this blog. It has shown me that the little things can make for an important day. Life is crazy and you just have to remember that the bad things will eventually turn into good things and be amazing.
I'm getting all nostalgic, I know. But that's the way things are now, I must be nostalgic in order to make things interesting.
Day 20 conclusion: Nostalgia is amazing. And I can't figure out how to turn that stupid picture to where it isn't sideways.
The weekend was spent driving back and forth between my home and my cousins place. Babysat all day Saturday, which was actually so much fun. Baked cookies, painted nails, watched a movie and played with small children. It was quite the adventure.
Today I went golfing with a couple friends, then got brunch. Yes, it sounds fancy, but I went in Nike shorts and a t-shirt. Not fancy, I promise. Then went to my cousins for dinner.
What really excited me today was the rain/storm. I pulled out my camera and made a little video. I would appreciate it and love you forever if you checked it out. You can find it here.
I don't really have a lot to blog about. The past days have just been spent with family. Which is always the beset thing to do, if you ask me.
Weekend conclusion: My family is awesome and I wish I could spent every day with them.
Okay. I feel like it's a given that I'm always going to miss blogging on Fridays. Yes I am a busy person, this much I know. I am truly terrible, if you must.
So I'll recap yesterday for you all.
Got up, went to school, came home, went to golf.
Quite boring isn't it?
Well going golfing has turned out to be quite peaceful. Until you invite along someone who is really quite loud. But that's what makes it fun. People that are fun to golf with are usually stellar people in general. They are ones who know to let things go and generally, they know how to have fun.
Yeah so that was yesterday. I went out last night, to karaoke, but I would rather leave that to the imagination.
As of yesterday I realized that sometimes you have to stand up for yourself and how you feel. Sometimes a conversation isn't one that you want to have, but in the end, events turn and things are even better than to begin with. Also, I respect how people that I know can have a conversation, and not yell, cuss, or throw punches, like mature adults (?). It resolves things a lot better than when someone says something they will regret later on.
Just a food for thought.
Day 17 conclusion: Always speak your mind in a mature manner.
I really miss Florida. I miss the palm trees, warm weather, the ocean, but most of all how close I was to my best friend while we were there. Anyways, this is me reminiscing about a good time had by all. This is my throwback, because, after all, it is Thursday.
Well today was the first of my last golf meets this year. Quite bittersweet, but we got burgers afterwords. To be quite honest, I didn't do so well, but hey that's golf for you. Golf is one of those things that is a love-hate relationship because you either do good, which makes you happy, or do really bad which can ruin your day. It's just one of those things that you have to do to really understand what I'm trying to say there.
So I think I'm going to include songs at the end of my posts, when I have songs to share. As cliche and cheesy as it sounds, music really does make me happy. It can change my mood around or, if I want to mope, go exactly with what I'm feeling. So here my song for the day.
